Remote & Industrial Sites
Private 5G for Remote Areas
Rural broadband and industrial operations: how a remote mining and construction camp got mission-critical connectivity with no fiber, in under a day.

The Challenge
No fiber, no reliable signal, harsh conditions
A remote industrial zone — a mining and construction camp — had no fiber infrastructure, unreliable satellite links, safety-communication gaps, and no IoT connectivity, all in harsh environmental conditions. The site needed rapid deployment, ruggedized hardware, low power consumption, and a local core that could keep operating offline.
The Solution
CompactOne, with satellite backhaul
CompactOne — EdgeNectar’s integrated all-in-one 5G system — was deployed on-site with satellite backhaul. One CompactOne covered the base camp, with additional cascade units for site expansion, plus a local 5G gateway for autonomous operation, HD cameras, and worker safety wearables. Satellite backhaul connects back to a 5G controller at headquarters or in the cloud.
Integrated 5G Core within the base station itself — no separate core infrastructure needed on-site.
IP67-rated, -40°C to +55°C operating range for genuinely harsh field conditions.
230W power consumption — low enough for remote power setups without grid access.
